Fundación Wiese launches the new season of its series “Strengthening Socioemotional Skills”
  • Fundación Wiese announces the launch of the sixth season of its video series Strengthening Socioemotional Skills.

This initiative is part of the Foundation’s Educational Quality Program and is implemented in alliance with the Ministry of Education, through the Directorate for the Promotion of Well-being and Teacher Recognition. Since its first release in 2020, the series has completed five successful seasons, focusing on addressing the socioemotional needs identified among Peruvian teachers. Its goal is to provide support and practical tools to educators and school leaders nationwide, enhancing both their well-being and that of their students.

In this new season, teachers and school leaders will have free access to materials such as videos, podcasts, and infographics, designed to address real-life scenarios in the educational setting. Through expert recommendations from the Community of Learning for Well-being, the series promotes reflection and offers concrete strategies for managing emotions in the classroom.

The sixth season will cover the following topics:

  1. Self-awareness and self-care: Promoting self-awareness as a foundation for personal and student well-being.
Creating safe spaces: Encouraging respectful, active, and democratic participation in the classroom, prioritizing students' well-being.
  2. Decision-making rooted in care: Recognizing strategies that promote care for oneself and others when making decisions.
  3. Fostering self-care among adolescents: Providing tools to support teenagers in developing healthy self-care habits.
  4. Emotional expression and regulation in the classroom: Creating safe environments that support students' emotional expression and regulation.
  5. Stress management to prevent burnout: Identifying symptoms associated with teacher burnout and promoting strategies for prevention, with a focus on personal well-being.
  6. Building inclusive, welcoming, and culturally and linguistically diverse spaces: Raising awareness and identifying strategies for creating culturally inclusive and safe learning environments.
  7. Developing educational environments that promote care and self-care: Inspiring and raising awareness about the importance of nurturing educational spaces that encourage mutual care, emotional well-being, and the development of more empathetic, healthy, and resilient communities.

With this sixth season, Fundación Wiese reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the socioemotional skills of educators and school leaders in Peru. Through sustained efforts, it aims to ensure that academic research—especially from the Community of Learning for Well-being—has practical and direct applications in public education policy.
